Gender Party!

We had such a great time Saturday at our gender revealing party! We had family and some college friends here! My dad showed up at the party and totally surprised me! I, of course, cried. It was so great to be able to see him for a few days! I somehow failed to get any good pictures of the party itself. But I did get the important one revealing the gender! We decided to do cupcakes with either pink or blue filling and have everybody bite into them at the same time! We had everybody guess before they started eating the cupcakes and "boy" had the majority vote! Blake's Aunt Liz was the first one to make it to the BLUE filling! It was so much fun finally announcing to every one that we're expecting a little boy! I think it was one of the hardest things we had done to wait 4 days to tell all of our friends and family! But the news is out! In December we will get to meet Easton Andrew! We cannot wait!

Anatomy Scan

Tuesday we had our anatomy scan! We'd been looking forward to this appointment for a long time because we just couldn't wait to find out if we're having a little boy or girl! The appointment went great and within about 30 seconds we knew what gender our little peanut is! More importantly at 21 weeks, our little one is growing just as s/he should and is perfectly healthy! We're so thankful! Tuesday was also mine and Blake's second anniversary! It was the perfect day. After we found out our little one's gender we went shopping and bought some adorable outfits! We finished up with some Olive Garden, yum! I couldn't have asked for a better anniversary.

20 Weeks

I'm 20 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 20 weeks 0 days
Size of baby: the size of a banana!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: lost 5 lbs
Maternity Clothes: Yup! Cant wear my jeans anymore and I am wearing mostly maternity shirts too! Thank goodness I get to wear scrubs to work, I can still wear them!
Gender: Just a little over a week until we find out! We're so excited! We plan to have a gender revealing party on the 28th!
Sleep: I can only sleep on my sides and am even somewhat uncomfortable then, but otherwise, not too bad!
What I miss: Being able to sleep on my back and stomach
Cravings: None, really.
Symptoms: Heartburn :( No matter what I eat.
Best Moment this week: Discovering the wonder of TUMS! I've never had any heartburn before, so this is a whole new thing for me. I was very pleased to find how wonderfully TUMS work!

Our 4th of July Celebration

It's become somewhat of a tradition for all the family members to spend time around the 4th of July at Blake's parent's house! The Ginther Farm as they call it :) This year that celebration was the weekend before the 4th so we spent yesterday with family and friends at the in-laws. It was a ton of fun! We had a ton of delicious food and as always it was great to see everyone! Rick worked hard to get his bike track ready for some games! One game had a driver and a passenger trying to toss bean bags through the hole. The other game had a driver and a passenger who would through a water balloon over a wooden frame and try to catch it on the other side! And of course there was the annual water balloon/squirt gun war! It was a ton of fun playing and watching! Here are some of the pictures from the day!
